Zoco Árabe / Moroccan Fair in Benalmadena Pueblo
Celebrated at the end of August this fair usually lasts for 4 nights from Thursday to Sunday on the last weekend of August. This might sneak into September though depending on how the days fall. It’s a very popular fair that attracts lots of people to Benalmadena Pueblo.
The streets of the old town take on a bustling vibe with all types of Moroccan products on offer to create an Arabian vibe.
On the stalls you can find charms, jewellery, pottery, and all sorts of nik naks. Add to this a couple of belly dancers and tents selling the classic sweet Moroccan tea, Mojitos, sweet pastries and more and you get the idea.
To compliment the local restaurants there are temporary stalls that set up for the fair. They do offer something very different varying from meat roasts to kebabs to candy floss.
Everything tends to open about 7pm and runs through until midnight or later.
